How Audio Trimmer works

  1. 1

Drop an audio file and let the real waveform load.

  2. 2

Drag the two selection handles, or type exact start and end times.

  3. 3

Preview the loop, add fades and export the trimmed clip.

Made to stay out of your way

  • A draggable waveform selection instead of typing blind timecodes.
  • Loop preview, start and end time fields, and fade in/out control.
  • Runs on your device with no account, no upload and no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How do I trim an audio file?

Load a clip, drag the two orange handles across the waveform, and press play to preview the selection on loop. Enter exact times in the fields if you need precision.

Does trimming re-encode the audio?

The selection is cut sample-accurately and re-encoded to the format and bitrate you choose. WAV output stays lossless PCM.

Can I add fade in and fade out?

Yes. Set each fade from 0 to 3 seconds. Fades are applied inside the selection so both ends end cleanly.

Which formats can I trim?

MP3, WAV, M4A and OGG, up to 50 MB and 30 minutes. Choose MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG for the trimmed output.

Is my audio uploaded?

No. Everything runs on your device. The encoding engine downloads once on first use for MP3, M4A and OGG, and your audio never leaves your device.

Can I trim on my phone?

Yes. The selection handles are touch targets, and the rest of the studio stacks below the player.
