Do my images get uploaded to a server?
No. The entire conversion engine runs in your browser using Canvas, WebCodecs and client decoders. Your files never leave your device.

How do quality controls work?
For lossy formats like JPG, WebP and AVIF, you can dial in quality from 1% to 100% using presets or the slider. For WebP and AVIF, you can also enable lossless mode. PNG, BMP and ICO are lossless.
What happens to transparent backgrounds when converting to JPG?
Since JPG and standard BMP do not support transparency, transparent areas are cleanly composited over your choice of background color (white, black, or custom color). PNG, WebP, AVIF and ICO retain full alpha transparency.
Can I resize images during conversion?
Yes. You can keep original dimensions, scale down by percentage (75%, 50%, 25%), or set a maximum width/height limit (like 1920px or 1280px) to optimize files for web use.
